OUR MISSION
Poiēma Church exists to glorify God by knowing and loving Him as His beloved children, by working together to make disciples, and by multiplying healthy churches among the nations beginning in Medina, OH.
You may be wondering…what does Poiēma mean?
This word comes from Ephesians 2:10 as workmanship, handiwork or craftmanship. It highlights God as an artist who is restoring the image of God in His people, which was distorted and broken when Adam and Eve rebelled. God is recreating a new humanity to ultimately look like Christ Jesus. His people are being slowly transformed into His workmanship from fragmented and empty to renewed and filled.
At Poiēma Church, we want every gathering of the church, worship service, event and lesson to reflect the gospel of Christ Jesus—the good news that God has sent His Son to reconcile us to Himself and one another by His perfect life, death, and resurrection. The gospel of Jesus is not only what we believe, it intersects with who we are and every aspect of our lives. We are a church mobilized for mission in our community to the ends of the earth.
